A weekend collage update!!! 

Things I loved this weekend.....

for me it was all about cats and polka dots for some reason and I went for it.  I'm also obsessing over this Michael Kors handbag (are you dying right now???)  Flowerbomb perfume is my signature scent and so when I'm needing a boost of confidence or I know my outfit is on point and I want to add to my (ahem) allure it's definitely my go to.  I talked about Too Faced "Better Than Sex" mascara in my September Favorites video (which I'm sure you all watched) and it's definitely become a make up staple of mine.  And FINALLY Autumn is upon us which means I'm breaking out the dark nail polish like this Nars one and the burgundy lipsticks like my all time favorite Rouge Volupte #12 by YSL.
I've also decided that my wedding song will probably be "Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran.  Have a listen.  It's lovely.

October is the best month of the year and I'm looking forward to this one!

Hello!!!  How was your weekend?  Mine was fantastic!  I had the weekend off and the weather was GORGEOUS so of course I went shopping ;)

Some of my FAVORITE things of the weekend were the new Lash Power Feathering mascara by Clinique especially paired with my all time favorite eyeshadow palette "Neutral Territory 2" and Cheek Pop blush in "Berry Pop" also by Clinique!  I went and visited my favorite former co-worker Natalie (y'all should check out her blog too....she and her husband are INSANELY talented musicians) who now works for Laura Mercier and picked up one of my all time favorite lip glosses "Opal" and a new one called "Azaela" that I'm OBSESSED with :)  

I listened to Miguel's song "Simplethings" pretty much on repeat all weekend.  I'm so glad the weather is warming up and we could drive with the windows down, break out the maxi skirts, and SANDALS.

I hope the weather is nice where you are too :)

Hopefully I have time to post this week.  We are going into gift at the Clinique counter which, as my long-time readers know,  is the time my brain starts to malfunction, I live on Diet Coke and crackers, and I self-medicate with NyQuil sooooo basically.....it's the Hunger Games.  

But I love these crazies I work with so it makes it worth it!

Weekend Collage

Hello there!  How was your weekend?  Mine was a seriously great weekend as far as weekends go.  I seriously don't think I've laughed as hard as I did this weekend in a VERY long time.  Isn't that the best feeling?  That laughter that makes your head pound, tears streaming down your face, can't breathe type laughing?  Ah.  It's so therapeutic.  I've also been doing some serious Olympic watching as well.  I always swear I'm not interested and then end up getting suuuper into it.  Every 2 years.....

Do you guys listen to Arctic Monkeys?  If not....you should.  Such a great band.  I've been listening hard core all weekend.
I taught our lesson at church on Sunday which went so well.  I love teaching.  Sundays are also probably my favorite day of the week.  So relaxing.
 Nothing really else of much significance.  I went shooting guns for the first time ever which was SO fun....but I'll do a separate post on that.  

Hope you had a great weekend whether you were spending some quality looooove time with a significant other or just chilling with friends or family I hope it was spectacular!

ALERT:  I will not be discussing the results of the Super Bowl now or ever.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was filled with my favorite F's (steady there kids...)  FRIENDS, FOOD, and FUN

Some things I loved this weekend:

Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in "Cotton Candy" paired with my MAC lip gloss in "Just Superb" 

and I wore my all time favorite perfume "FlowerBomb" all weekend.  It just puts me in a feminine mood.  

ALSO to anyone who watches "Nashville"....can we talk about how amazeballs Juliette was in that episode??? "I may have just burned the house down, but I made damn sure you were in it when I lit the match" brilliant.  Can't stop listening to her song "Don't Put Dirt On My Grave Just Yet"  it's such a fantastic anthem.  And of course I drank my weight in tea because...that's my life now.  I particularly loved a honey/vanilla/chamomile combo that I purchased.

Oh hello!  I sure hope you had a great weekend because I sure did.  Some things I was obsessed with this weekend:

YSL Rouge Volupte in "Rose Culte".....I saw this and HAD to buy it on the spot.  It's amazing!

Philosopy "Falling In Love"....it's such a pretty scent

Taylor Swift "Sweeter Than Fiction" just....a great jam

Doctor Who....I literally watched it all weekend.  I stopped on Sunday however because the 10th Doctor regenerated and whoever invented regeneration is the WORST.  I need like 3 days to get over every single one.

ALSO TWO COOL STORIES ALERT:

My friend Karyn and I decided to try our hand at getting into a screening at the Sundance Film Festival.  So we chose Zach Braff's movie and then added ourselves to the wait list hoping we'd get in.  Not only did we get in BUT Zach Braff himself showed up to do a Q&A after and it was the BEST THING EVER.

And on a more serious note.....I'm overwhelmed by the love and support my friend Rebecca and her family have received.  I had to raise the goal for them 4 times because people kept giving.  I finally raised it to $23,000 yesterday morning hoping for the best.  We were a bit shy tonight and then I went and checked and some man who doesn't even know them, donated the remaining amount.  Amazing.  I love people so much.

Hello!  I had a very lazy weekend!  I was off work on Friday and Saturday and just hung around with friends....I know....super exciting!  Some things I LOVED this weekend....

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser: OMG LOVE.  It removes all your make up and then you use a muslin cloth to gentle wash it off and your skin feels so nice and soft and clean!  

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner: so so nice

Origins Mega Mushroom Skin Relief Lotion: LOVE for my redness/irritation prone skin

Bright orange nail polish like "Silly Billy" from Butter London

The music from "Nashville" is always a favorite go-to of mine

My best friend Jack got me the ONE DIRECTION MOVIE for Christmas which was verrrrryyy exciting!!!

and the BEST PART OF THE WHOLE WEEKEND........

THE BRONCOS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL

Ohhhh yes.  Very good indeed.

THINGS I'M CURRENTLY OBSESSED WITH:

Military Tab shirt from ASOS: OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE

Dark nail polish like "Chimney Sweep" by Butter London

Boot shoes = the best

MAC lipstick in Rebel 

Benefit "Watts Up" highlighter....seriously the best highlighter I've ever used.

Beyonce.  I mean....she's everything.  I love EVERY song on the album but I would have to say the ones I listen to most are: "Pretty Hurts" "XO" "Flawless" and "Partition" .....if you don't own this record already....what is wrong with you??? Listen to it and let's cry about how perfect it is together.

I'm also thinking about doing a blog post on the Golden Globes...they were amazing.  While you wait for that you can check out my previous posts on award shows {HERE} You can go back and see all the times I referred to Jennifer Lawrence as "obscure girl" or "I don't know your name" *face palm*

Sidney Oxofords via Nordstrom:  so freaking cute!

Nars Lip Gloss in Penny Arcade via Sephora LOVE the color!  Perfect for the season now and a great color all seasons!

Maybelline Baby Lips via Target LOVE how soft this makes my lips feel!  And cheap too!

Pitch Perfect...ummm....IS there a better movie??  NO.  Here's proof if you need it.

Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" is just the best album of all time.  Listening to it on vinyl is basically euphoria.

The Colts season is over which means it's time for my annual time of mourning.  Please leave thoughts/prayers/condolences in the comments below.

Hello hello!  I'm a day behind this week....mostly because I spent all day yesterday MOVING.  Ugh...isn't moving the absolute worst?  Yes.  Yes it is.  I'm completely exhausted and spent the entire weekend in comfy clothes and flip flops...with the exception of one day.  One very special day...one of my best friends in the whole world got married on Saturday!  Pictures to come...it was perfect.  

While we're (kinda....) on the subject of moving, let's have a quick discussion as to why I should not be allowed to live on my own:

1. I packed more Diet Coke than anything else

2. I have 2 cosmetics bags completely full of lip gloss

3. I had a Level 5 meltdown in Target because I couldn't figure out what kind of jelly my Mom buys. 

Just to name a few..

Do any of you all watch "Big Brother"???  Let me know.  This season has gone CRAY.

Hey guess what else?  I also read some books!  I know what you're thinking...."Vanessa actually turned off Here Comes Honey Boo Boo to read???"  Yes yes my dear readers...I did.  TWO books actually (The Fault In Our Stars & The Land Of Stories) and they were fantastic!!!  Highly recommend them both!

Hey gurl hey!!!

How was your weekend??  Mine was crazy!  I sprained my ankle at work (story and gruesome pictures to come) and spent most of the weekend resting up!  HERE are some things I'm obsessed with right now though!

1. Animal print - I used to avoid it at all costs because I thought it looked cheap but I have discovered in my older age that animal print can look super sexy and classy when done the right way!  And now I love it.

2. Pops of color.  LOVE pairing a bright color (pink is my fave) with your neutral tones.  Makes you feel fun and feminine

3. Clinique 3-Step skin care.  If you guys aren't using 3-Step PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to your local Clinique counter and get skin typed.  This is PROVEN to be the absolute best skin care out there.

4. La Vie Est Belle by Lancome - this new fragrance is super sexy and flirty.   Love it.

5. The Bachelorette - Don't tell anyone.

Helllo everyone!! What a busy weekend I had!  I hope you got to enjoy yours more than I did.  Some things I'm obsessed with right now!

1. Bows - LOVE bows

2. Naked palette by Urban Decay - literally every color is perfect.  The best $50 I ever spent. 

3. Robyn's song "Dancing On My Own" has been playing constantly.  On Spotify, on my iPod, at home, at work, in the car...everywhere.  I can't get enough.  Such a fun song to turn up loud and dance around to when you've had a long day (and I've had a few of those recently!)

4. Rainbow Sherbet - IN ALL FORMS.  Just discovered that Extra has made a Rainbow Sherbet gum!!  Yes you read that right and it is AMAZEBALLS.  Go get some immediately.  

5. Big Brother is back!!!!  And I could not be more excited...especially because one of my all time favorites - Britney- is back!  Yay!! Anyone else out there a Big Brother fan??  Let's share excitement!

Hello hello!  I can't believe how fast last week went for me!  How was your 4th of July?  I spent it working...and then in true Vanessa form, I came home, took a pain killer and went to bed.  I did watch some fireworks and of course the GREATEST FILM OF OUR TIME...Independence Day.  Classic.  The painkillers did give it a new spin though...

Some things I'm kind of obsessed with

1. Coral/Teal color combo....OB-SESSED

2. "One More Night" by Maroon 5...has been on REPEAT - such a fun summer song

3. Diorshow Iconic mascara - I've talked about this before and how I was looking for a cheaper alternative to this hefty $28.50 buuutttt.....I haven't been able to find one that I like as much!  I'll keep trying but for now..this is my ultimate favorite mascara I've ever used.

4. Seychelles sandals - guys.  I die.

5. This Anthropologie butter dish.  I bought it this weekend and it is ADORBS.  I bought the matching Salt/Pepper shakers too.  I know, I know...I'm 83 years old.  

AND

I'm also obsessed with my friend MORGAN and her post over at HowSheDoes AND the fact that she was asked to be a regular blogger over there!!!

Hello!  How was your weekend?  Mine was pretty good.  We've had a LOT of fires around us in the last week and adding all that smoke on top of my regular allergies...I've been miserable.  Lot's of allergy/sinus medicine which makes me a little cray cray.  So...it was pretty low-key for me.  Watching some of my favorite movies and pampering myself a little with a nice foot soak and pedicure.  My feet needed it!

A couple things I'm obsessed with this week...

1. The summer Bombay collection from Chanel.  This all over glowing powder is STUNNING.  It's super super pricey but gorgeous. 

2. Lip glosses from Bath and Body Works.  NOT pricey at all...so cute and I love them!

3. Sparkle skin by Clinique.  I know I've already raved about this so...have you bought it yet?  You won't regret it.  Shaving with it with give you the closest shave of all time and it lasts forever!

4. Oh Land's new album....OMG can not stop listening to it.  I'm obsessed!!!!  Go download it!  

5. Betsey Johnson starfish earrings.  So cute and fun for summer.

Hello hello!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  I'm on my last couple of days of vacation and I'm so sad about it....going back to work after vacation is always the worst.  I did get to enjoy a fun night at a beautiful wedding reception and fun times with my friends Jack and Karyn.  We always have a blast when the 3 of us are together.

Right now a few things I'm obsessed with:

1. The neon summer nail colors by Dior....LOVING neon polish!

2. 7 Day Scrub by Clinique...the BEST exfoliator in the entire world.  Seriously amazing.  

3. Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker...an old fragrance but one of my absolute favorites!

4. Ed Sheeran....have any of you listened to his music?  I downloaded his album last week and can't stop listening.  Wonderful, beautiful, highly recommend.

I got a comment last week from a reader asking about my One Tree Hill music playlist post....it's coming tomorrow!  Sorry it's taken so long but there is a LOT of music from OTH and I've been trying to sort it all out and how I want to break it down etc...it's been a longer work in progress than I thought!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  Been super busy at work but I did get to have a night of fun on Saturday.  My friend Karyn and I ran around all over town and then hung out with some of her friends and watched "Lady In Black"....um...did y'all see that movie???  I had to sleep on the couch it gave me such a bad case of the spooks!  I ALWAYS get peer pressured into watching scary movies and I always regret it.  We did have some good laughs though!  Now I'm getting ready for my vacation starting on Wednesday!!! I'm so excited. 

So...hopefully....look forward to a whole week of consistent blog posts! :)

I hope you all have had a good weekend so far and that you are gearing up for the THREE DAY WEEKEND!! I love 3 day weekends.  It's like when you pay for one packet of peanut butter M&M's in the vending machine and two accidentally pop out!  It's the best!

I will (for once) not be working on Memorial Day!!  Instead I will be spending it (literally) in Park City and I'm very excited.  I hope you enjoy your extra day!

I spent a lot of my weekend listening to 60's rock.  I LOVE 60's rock music.  Bob Dylan, The Zombies, Blue Oyster Cult, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Jefferson Airplane, Doobie Brothers....can't get enough.  If you've never listened to 60's rock...give it a try.  It does not disappoint.  

You may notice that I am subtly trying to hint at the big news that I've been gearing up to announce for practically 2 months now.....can you guess what it is?  I'll give you a minute....I'll be Googling pictures of babies in kangaroo costumes while you think.....

I got a promotion at work!!!  I am the new COUNTER MANAGER of the CLINIQUE counter!!!

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  Was it GREAT!?  I hope so.  My One Tree Hill marathon continues and with it has come some super weird dreams.....that's what you get I guess.

We are getting ready to go into gift again at the good ol' Lancome counter!  I'll be working a ton this week and then next week is when the craziness starts...this is kind of like pre-gamming before the Super Bowl if it involved crazy women, a diet of Pretzel Bites, and too much caffeine.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  I had a busy one!  I did prom make up for my little sister and her best friend (pictures to come...they looked stunning), had another fantastic Target trip with my 2 BFF's Karyn and Jack (pics of that to come as well...), I worked, ate cupcakes, laughed, cried, embarrassed myself, laid in the grass, and sipped sparkling cranberry juice to my heart's content.

I spent the majority of Sunday watching One Tree Hill from the beginning....sigh....what a fantastic show.
