Thanksgiving break has been so great! I've been able to hang out with my brother every day! We've done some great things together including but not limited to:
*playing about a thousand rounds of Uno
*playing Mario Kart on the Wii
*reading books (we're attempting to read Harry Potter and every time we talk about it Kian puts on a fake British accent....it's pretty funny)
*talking about Christmas shopping (he told me he is getting me an iPod and when I asked him how he was going to get the money to pay for that he answered "Chase" of course.)
*watching "Horton Hears A Who" about 4 thousand times
*watching the Colts football games (I've taught him well...he can now identify Peyton Manning, Austin Collie, Dallas Clark, and Addai. He also got really into Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins for reasons unknown and will ask me every Sunday if they won- I love it)
*quoting The Office (seriously I have the most awesome brother ever)
*singing songs constantly...current favorites include: Single Ladies, She Wolf, Fireflies, Say Hey I Love You, Party In the USA and many others.
Last night was our last free night before school started and so we baked cookies! We donned our aprons and had a blast! I just love hanging out with him. Who knew that a 6 year old could be the coolest guy I know?
and the cookies turned out amazing of course...

The Whole Fam Damily
A couple weeks ago Tara (Day) Heninger was nice enough to volunteer to take our family pictures. She is such a great photographer and so we jumped at the chance (especially because we haven't had a family picture in like a million years).
The morning of the pictures we woke up to this...
But we braved the cold. Had some fun in the car
and I think the results are fabulous! Check them out!
she even caught some fun spontaneous moments...
Thanks Tara!!!!

A Little Bit Of This...A Little Bit Of That
I hope ya'll had a great Thanksgiving! I know we did! Since I'm not in the mood to type out some big long story about our Thanksgiving break I decided to show you in pictures! Which is better anyway! We'll start with the week before Thanksgiving. On Friday we cleaned the whole house because my life long best friend Allison was supposed to come by with her baby Jaxon who I've yet to meet. She ended up getting really sick though and couldn't make it. That afternoon instead us girls decided to go get some lunch at In N Out that just opened here in Provo....and this is what it looked like...
and I even found this video about it...
ridiculous if you ask me. So needless to say we didn't go there. It's just a freaking burger people!
Anyway...that night Jess came over and her me and Calah went to go see...
We stood in lines, had to put up with obnoxious girls in front of us (seriously they were crazy) and then we finally got into the movie. There were:
people howling like werewolves
people yelling Team Jacob and Team Edward every 5 seconds (my sister wanted to yell Team Voldemort back at them)
a guy who was there by himself and begging people to come sit with him
and just general pandemonium
The movie was really good however. I liked it so much better than the first and there was some nice eye candy as well.
Saturday was just a normal day. BYU was playing Air Force that day and since we live 3 minutes from the stadium it's always crazy when there is a game...cars parked all up and down our street and such. Kenzie had her second night of the play at her school and as we were driving to drop her off the game had just ended. It took us 30 minutes to get from our house to Provo High School. Ridiculous. We picked up my grandma and headed off to the play.
I'm not really a fan of Shakespeare anyway but this version of Henry V was...hard to understand. I think the acoustics were bad in the theater (and they're high school kids) so it was like listening to someone who was talking with food in their mouth the entire play. My grandma was cracking me up. She kept saying things like "do you think anyone would notice if we left and went bowling across the street?" and "I don't understand a word that is going on right now". Me neither. Mackenzie did SO awesome though. Seriously she was apparently the only kid who could enunciate and she really did fantastically. And she played a boy...hence the facial hair.
Sunday Calah and I braved the Singles Ward....it was interesting.
Then we started preparations for Thanksgiving dinner and it was wonderful! I made my first pie! (Pumpkin) and made my famous mashed potatoes. It was all delicious.
the point during dinner in which someone said something hilarious and Mackenzie almost spit out her food...this happened a lot.
all I know is she has a pie box on her head...the rest is all speculation
Friday night we put up the Christmas tree. All of our Christmas stuff is still back in Indiana but my Grandma was nice enough to give us an extra tree of theirs and some Christmas decorations for the house. We got some great ornaments at Costco and I think the results were pretty fantastic.
Other than that we just watched a lot of "Criminal Minds" and this new show "White Collar" on USA that is really really good.
Now we've got a fridge full of turkey and pie for the next week. Gotta love Thanksgiving!

Football Football Football
It's been a great couple of weeks for football...
BYU beat U of U
and it was a great game
Some funny things I was reading about BYU vs UofU
BYU players have a prayer before every game. Ute players have performed ritualistic lamentations following many of their games.
Utah fans strip down and paint themselves for cold November games because they're drunk. BYU fans do it because they're stupid.
Ute fans don't boo the other team. They've been too busy this year booing their own. BYU fans don't boo at all. Instead, they proudly boast their colors, yelling in unison: Bluuuuuuuuuue. Bluuuuuuue. Bluuuuuuuue.
Ute fans drink their caffeine hot. BYU fans drink their caffeine cold.
To BYU fans, the screwdriver on game day remains in the drawer in the garage
with the other unused tools while the game is being played. To Ute fans, the screwdriver on game day is breakfast.
For BYU fans, the forward pass is a common topic of discussion during Sunday School lessons. For Ute fans this year, the forward pass has led to many silent prayers, followed by many sinful profanities.
Many Ute co-eds like the Britney Spears bare-midriff look. Many BYU co-eds prefer the Marie Osmond look, as do many of the male BYU students.
BYU students have been known to jump out of the stands and tackle Ute cheerleaders as they parade along the sidelines. Ute cheerleaders have been known to beat the crap out of the BYU fans who tackle them.
Utah is known for its leadership in medical research, bio-engineering and for launching Karl Rove. BYU is a leader in producing quarterbacks, TV anchors, beauty queens and white collar criminals.
Just some humor for ya...the best team won in the end though.
And the Colts pulled out a win against New England (as we knew they would) then beat the Ravens and on Sunday defeated the Texans to bring them to an 11-0 undefeated season. I love you guys.

Happy Birthday Reagan!
Today my little sister Reagan Noel would turn 5 years old.
So strange to think about. I'm not one to express my emotions easily. I never went to my sister's grave after the funeral. Don't really know why...I just think it's kind of morbid. The cemetery may be a place for some to mourn but I think it's weird. I don't really share my feelings about my sister ever. Not with anyone. I just didn't want anyone to pity me or for me to pity myself. Other people have lost family members before. Everyone will lose someone close to them. It was also weird that I never even got to meet her because I was at school. I was at my friend's house for Thanksgiving in Provo when I got the phone call. It never seemed real to me. Sometimes it will hit me when I'm watching a show and they show a down syndrome girl or when I see Kian playing by himself and I think about what a great big brother he would be. But the thing that helps is knowing that I will know her someday. I will get to braid her hair and do silly things and all those things big sisters do with their little sisters. And Kian will get to be her big brother someday too. A quote that I've always loved was one that I heard shortly after my sister died.
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come together to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: 'There! She's gone.' 'Gone where?' Gone from my sight--that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her; and just at the moment when someone at my side says, 'There! She's gone,' there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, 'there she comes!'
We miss you baby girl!

Making a List...Checking It Twice
So I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet but I am getting SO excited for Christmas this year! Maybe it's because we got our first snow today but I can smell chestnuts roasting on an open fire and Jack Frost is most definitely nipping at my nose. I made a short version of my Christmas list for you all to enjoy...hint hint Mom.
First up the big ticket items...
I would love to have an iPhone
but would settle for this phone by T-Mobile...the MyTouch...it looks almost cooler than the iPhone
the new iPod nano
let's be honest...it might just be the color I'm attracted to the most but it is pretty cool you can shoot video with them now
Reebok EasyTone
I heart these shoes so much! They are cute AND they tone??? Genius.
The Office Memorabilia
The Office Clue pretty much combines my 2 favorite things. Board games and Michael Scott.
Can be worn while also fighting for a cure.
A woman shouldn't have to be hit by a car to learn that she has rabies.
Football Memorabilia
of course this is still my #1 want
but these would be nice as well...
Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
I had this movie at one point but somehow when I went to college it disappeared...So I'll be needing a new one because it is my all time fave.
I can watch it while wearing this....
and maybe some spumoni ice cream just to really get me in the mind set.
Like totally for sure!
I'm sorry is that a Bayside Tigers T shirt ya got there? Why are you so awesome?
That would be the conversation I would have with about a million strangers every time I wore this.
That's pretty much it. And Santa I was pretty nice this year...with just a sprinkle of naughty. But I think it's a pretty good balance.
