All Nighter

Thanksgiving Break brings about a certain feeling in the air.  In my little brother it brings about a feeling to stay up all night.
Bub came up with the idea that he wanted to stay up all night and play games on the Wii and watch movies.  I being the cool and hip older sister...agreed.
We braved the winter storm advisories and blizzard like weather (more on that later) to go get things that will rot your teeth supplies.
After Mom and Dad went to bed it was time to party!
We began with a rousing game of Wii Sports...starting off with some bowling.  My Mii was in rare form tonight

and I proceeded to get my highest score yet.

Why yes, that is 7 strikes in a row you are seeing on my scorecard.  Somewhere there is a world famous bowler who is super jealous of my mad skills.
Ha ha jokes on you.  There's no such thing as a famous bowler.

We moved onto baseball where after 2 innings of nothing....my team was able to catch up to my brother for a tied game.

We had warmed up our muscles so we could then move on to Lego Batman.  We killed some bad guys, built some stuff, and collected coins...

It was movie time.

On the schedule for the night was

Because Bub is fascinated by Harry Potter and claims he's dying to go see the 7th one.
I however have my doubts.

*For the record this picture was taken at 1:04 AM.  Impressive.

Magical Night...

So the other night I went out with a very good friend and we had the best time! First we went to this restaurant called Zupas in Provo.
It has soup, salads, and paninis. Each meal comes with a slice of bread AND a chocolate covered strawberry (I'm sorry but did I invent this place???). I had tomato basil soup and it was delish!!! And then because I still had yet to see it we went and saw....

It was AH MA ZING!
Some things they changed or left out and I didn't like that but overall it was superb and if you're looking for a little eye candy Harry, Ron, and Draco Malfoy have all grown up...and I noticed.
And we all know how I feel about Harry...
At the end of the movie there is a scene where all the wizards raise their wands to the sky and some kid had brought his fake wand (by kid I mean like...my age) and also raised it in the sky. I made fun of him out loud but in by head I was jealous he had a wand...where did you get it kid!?
And I must say that once again one of my favorite characters is Luna Lovegood...she is just so crazy.
Anyway all in all a very successful night! This week as you may know is Homecoming week for BYU (ESPN is even coming!) and so they light the Y on the mountain up with twinkle lights (if you know me you know that twinkle lights are probably my favorite thing EVER) and as we were coming out of the movie theater it was all dark so you couldn't see the mountain except for the Y all twinkle light like and I thought....man I live in a beautiful place! How lucky am I! I know it was right for me to move here and I'm so happy I made the right decision...

End Of Summer...and I'm still in love with Harry Potter

It's that time of year again...when my siblings go off to school instead of playing with me. Kian starts Kindergarten this week (CRAZY) AND he started sleeping in his own bed in his very own room. He's growing up fast! We've been spending a lot of time together playing the Wii and playing Uno. We changed it up a bit the other night and decided to break out the sidewalk chalk...a favorite childhood pastime of mine. We had a blast and we will probably both become world famous sidewalk chalk artists....maybe not.

This one is for my bestie Jen. I really do miss you a lot JennAY from the HizzAY...

Our dryer has yet to be hooked up so we've been kickin it old school with the clothesline...jealous?

We also had our first official sit down home cooked family dinner since moving into our new house. It was delicious.

I've been spending most of my time the last couple of days re-reading the 6th and 7th Harry Potter books.

It has caused the following maladies...
1. Having Harry Potter related dreams where I have to fight Lord Voldemort and also may be married to Harry (but c'mon would that really be so bad?)
2. Trying to cast random spells such as Alohomora (unlock stuff) Accio fill in the blank (to make that fill in the blank come to you) and Wingardium Leviosa (to make things come up off the ground)...apparently I am truly just a Muggle ( a non magical person)
3. Feeling a bit strange because I am a 22 year old girl who has once again become obsessed with a book filled with magical mischief....but only a bit because I LOVE Harry too much to feel that strange about it.
