I'm sure you've been on the edge of your proverbial seats waiting for this news right?
Am I pregnant?.........NO
Am I married?...........NO
Am I engaged?..........NO
Am I going on a mission?........NO
Am I completely addicted to Gobstoppers?..............YES (but that's not the news)
the news is.....
I GOT A JOB!!!
"What? Did you hear that Vanessa got a job?"
"Really? I thought her job was watching Glee and having a diet consisting only of Gobstoppers and Diet Coke"
"Well....yeah but she doesn't get paid for that"
"Oh....is she working for that tattoo parlor? I always thought she would fit in really well there....with people like Lunchbox how could you go wrong?"
"While you make a valid point....no...she's working for MACY'S"
Yes yes the rumors are all true. After 3 months, 3 interviews...I am officially an employee of Macy's Department store in Cosmetics/Frangrances.
Oh you don't believe me do you?
In your face! I believe they call that an OFFICIAL NAME TAG...what now haters?
And this is how you are supposed to look when you're representing the cosmetics department....obviously.
It was a cool interview. The lady interviewing me asked me 2 of her interview questions and then stopped and said "You know what...I just really like you, I'm so excited....let's make you part of the team"
Yeah let's.

High highs to low lows to high again
And I'm not talking about the "pass the dutchy on the left hand side" kind of high so...calm down. Let me give you a run down of the last crazy 24 hours for me (saving the biggest news for last so you have to wait for it)
Oh my hysterical. Seriously stop what you are doing and go see this movie...now. I laughed so hard I thought I was going to hyperventilate. How could you go wrong with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey though?
Ok for the low low...
Now for my grand huge supersized news. A couple of months ago I entered a contest on Tyler Hilton's website to be his personal road reporter for his show here in Salt Lake City. And I got the email yesterday...
Can you believe it? The only thing I've ever won in my life were 2 tickets to see High School Musical on ice and they were expired. Of course.
So this is kinda a big deal.
I get 2 tickets for his show and a press pass so I have unlimited access to take photo/video of the concert and then I write about it and they post it on his website! Pretty exciting stuff if you ask me!
And tonight is our relief society activity that I've been working for a week on (so send me good vibes)
and drum roll please...
GLEE! The power of Madonna episode....watch it or don't but if you don't you'll be super lame!
Oh also Life Unexpected (which Jen has been bossing me around to watch) is on too....and yes Jen I will watch it for the love of Pete! :) ha ha I love my friends.
Until next time....
Life is all about ups and downs- so appreciate both, you never know what's around the corner for you.
also...smoking marijuana is illegal so...don't do that.
- Yesterday I went over and made homemade salsa all afternoon for our Relief Society activity tonight. They were really delicious so I was happy and proud.
- Then I got the craziest and most exciting email maybe of my life (that you will have to wait for)
- Then I went out on a date with my favorite Jessica and we ate AMAZING fish tacos at Rubio's (seriously so so good) and then saw the movie "Date Night"

- I did not get the job at the place I interviewed on Friday. They said my interview went really really good but they had someone with many years of experience in a dental office setting...boo! So I was sad for a few minutes.
- then I got a call for another interview on Monday. It's for a personal assistant to a CEO- the benefits sound amazing as is the pay so...fingers crossed on that one!

my life
I went in for a job interview today. It went really well. This is a place I would LOVE to work so fingers crossed for me out there you guys!
I was a little intimidated because everyone who works there is like....really really pretty. I just don't even know if I can measure up. I'm really hoping that things will work out and then you'll see me doing this...
then I will meet the man of my dreams who will dress in ill-fitting suits
we will go on many fancy dates where I will wear my best pink polka dot hat (reserved for "special occasions")
and he will sometimes don the top-hat
sometimes we'll want to keep it low key and casual
eventually we will be married
and my husband will be a stay at home dad (with our bi-racial son) while I continue my successful career
it's a love story. the end.
